Lee began working in the entertainment industry at the age of 8, and since that time has developed his skills, particularly in the genre of pantomime, and is now very much in demand across the country as a writer, director, ‘dame’ and ‘comic’.

For 9 years, Lee was the resident Dame in the Weymouth Pantomime, appearing as Ugly Sister in Cinderella, Widow Twankey in Aladdin, Nurse Nelly in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs, Dame Trott in Jack and the Beanstalk, Demonia in Pirates of the Pavilion, Queen Thelma in Sleeping Beauty, Fairy Godmother in Cinderella, Nurse Nelly in Rapunzel and a return to Widow Twankey in the 2022 production of Aladdin, as well as writing and directing every Christmas and Summer pantomime from 2016-2022.

In 2022, Lee temporarily ‘hung up the frocks’ to play Wishee Washee in Aladdin at the Tivoli Theatre in Wimborne and has since returned to play Buttons in Cinderella & Muddles in Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. This year he will return to Wimborne once again to play Joey the Clown in Goldilocks & the Three Bears.

As a Producer & Director, Lee has been responsible for countless pantomimes across the country, including the hugely successful summer pantomime brand ‘Pirates Ahoy!’, and the brand new concept for adult pantomime - ’P*ssed Up Panto’, which has completed 3 sellout UK Tours!

In September 2012, he was invited to appear in The Golden Years of Variety (dir. Roy Hudd / Susie McKenna) at the Hackney Empire as part of their homage to pantomime. In 2016 Lee appeared as the evil Dr Feline in the UK Tour of Mission ImPUDSEYble alongside BGT Winners Ashleigh and Pudsey.

Lee’s 2017/18 production of Sleeping Beauty was nominated for ‘Best Panto’ in the Great British Pantomime Awards - a huge accoldade in the Pantomime Industry! In August 2022, Lee oversaw the creation of a huge new venue in Weymouth - Lodmoor Palladium. The state-of-the-art theatre tent included seating for over 650, full technical and backstage capabilities and became the home of ‘Pirates Ahoy!’ - Made to Measure‘s summer pantomime, alongside a whole host of other performances & events.

Lee is also an accomplished musician and works regularly as a Musical Director, Arranger, Orchestrator & Conductor. He creates the musical scores & soundtracks for all of Made to Measure’s pantomime productions.

Interesting fact - Lee first worked with Production Manager Dave Tozer in 1998 on the touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Dave was 18 and working as part of the stage crew...Lee was 8 and singing his little heart out as part of the children’s choir...!
He’s delighted to still be working with Dave *cough* number of years on...!
